Anastasia Klafter, President
Principal, Independence High School
Anastasia “Anna” Klafter was born and raised in San Francisco. She has served as the principal of Independence High School since 2016. Prior to Independence, Anna taught special education in San Diego and Boston and served as Chief Academic Officer at a 6-12 school in Boston. Anna is also the proud parent of two SFUSD students. Anna is a former deejay and music journalist who loves engaging her students in her passion around music, birding and the arts.
Myra Quadros, Vice President
Principal, New Traditions Elementary School
Myra Quadros is the principal at New Traditions Elementary School. She started her career with SFUSD in 2001 as a math teacher at Mission High School. During her tenure within SFUSD, she has served as a high school teacher, dean and assistant principal. Myra was the principal of Sutro Elementary from 2014-2018. She has also worked in central office as a program administrator in HS LEAD and as a supervisor in Curriculum and Instruction. Myra received her Master’s degree and administrative credential at UC Berkeley through the Principal Leadership Institute. She recently completed her Ed.D program at East Carolina University.
Andrea Hilinski, Secretary

Andi began her SFUSD career in 2006 as a school social worker at the ‘old’ Willie Brown Middle School. After 14 years a Program Administrator supporting school social workers, she transitioned to her current role as Program Administrator with Special Education Services, coordinating SpEd mental health services. She is also a licensed clinical social worker and enjoys providing clinical supervision to school-based mental health clinicians. She is married to fellow UASF member, Jeremy Hilinski, Principal of Bret Harte Elementary and they share two amazing kids, ages 8 and 11.
Shari Balisi Manalang, Treasurer
Principal, Abraham Lincoln High School
Shari Balisi has worked in SFUSD for over 24 years. She began her career in Early Education at San Miguel Children's Center. She then taught in Peer Resources at both the middle and secondary level. She became a high school counselor, and then became an administrator at Lincoln High School, where she currently serves as Principal.

Allen Lee, ES
Principal, John Yehall Chin Elementary School
Currently beginning his 21st year as Principal of John Yehall Chin Elementary School, this is Allen’s 2nd stint serving on the Board of UASF. In his prior term, Allen served as the secretary and the chief negotiator for UASF. Allen is, himself, a product of SFUSD. Before “coming back home to SFUSD,” Allen served as an assistant principal for a K-8 school in the Ravenswood (East Palo Alto) City School District.

Catherine Walter, ES
Principal, Grattan Elementary School
Catherine Walter began her tenure as the principal of Grattan PK-5 in 2016. Before that she worked as the assistant principal at West Portal Elementary for several years and served as a teacher in SFUSD for over a decade. As an administrator, Cate is focused on ensuring more equitable access to resources for students. She is committed to fostering an inclusive environment and is deeply passionate about special education.
Kevin Chui, MS
Principal, Presidio Middle School
A product of SFUSD schools from Kindergarten through High School, Kevin came home to serve his community as a Math teacher at Burton High School in 2014 after beginning his teaching career in Los Angeles. Kevin has served as an Assistant Principal since 2019, and he is currently the Principal at Presidio Middle School.

John Nepomuceno, HS
Assistant Principal, Balboa High School
John Villanueva Nepomuceno, or “Nepo,” is a native of Southeast San Diego, and began his career in education at age 19, working as a tutor, mentor, and college advisor, for various organizations in East Oakland. He joined San Francisco Unified in 2015, and has been serving as assistant principal at Balboa High School since. Prior to joining SFUSD he served in a variety of teaching and leadership roles in San Diego and in Bay Area districts. While serving at a substitute teacher in San Diego Nepo served at every grade, K-12, at over 25 schools. He earned his BA in Sociology, and two MA’s in Education at UC Berkeley, through the Multicultural Urban Secondary English (MUSE) Program, and the Principal Leadership Institute. He is currently a Fellow for the School Leaders Program at Stanford. He is a father of two.
Nancy Lambert-Campbell, EED
Early Education and OST
Nancy Lambert-Campbell is beginning her 8th year within Early Education, serving as the principal at Tule Elk Early Education School and Raphael Weill OST (Out of School Time). Nancy has dedicated more than 20 years to the San Francisco Unified School District. She started her career as a high school English teacher and athletic coach. She began her leadership career as an instructional reform facilitator and then served as an assistant principal at Galileo High School.

Lizzy Hull Barnes, CO/C&I
Supervisor
Lizzy Hull Barnes, who first joined SFUSD as an IRF in 2006, is the Mathematics and Computer Science supervisor. She has taught preschool through adults in schools in Louisiana and around the Bay Area, and has supported fellow teachers and coaches in San Francisco and beyond. She has collaborated in a variety of venues with fellow STEM educators, presented SFUSD’s work at professional conferences, and is a published author. Lizzy received her Masters in Education, with an emphasis on Early Childhood, from Mills College, and her administrative credential from the Leadership Support Program (LSP) at UC Berkeley, and is currently engaged in Computer Science coursework at SF State. Lizzy works with her team towards a vision of STEM education as multidimensional and creative disciplines in our district.
Caroline Satoda, CO/C&I

Caroline began teaching in SFUSD in 1986. She currently serves as the supervisor of the New Teacher Support Program. She has also worked as a TSA, an assistant principal, and a program administrator. She is a native San Franciscan who is a product of our public school system, and whose children also graduated from SFUSD schools. She has served as the president of UASF, and currently serves as a vice president on the national level of the American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA) General Executive Board.

JoLynn grew up in San Francisco. She worked as an educator in SFUSD for 32 years. Her roles at school sites included paraprofessional, classroom teacher, literacy coach, and school site principal. 22 years of her career were dedicated to the Jose Ortega Elementary School community. She also served as a Supervisor and Director of the Office of Pupil Services. She joined UASF in 2006 and continued to be an active member until 2019 when she became the Director of Pupil Services. During her tenure as a UASF elementary representative, she supported the site administrators in her cohort. She joined the UASF Co-Executive Director team in 2023.

Jolie is a native San Franciscan and a graduate of SFUSD. She had the opportunity to work at the elementary and middle school that she attended. She was an administrator from 1985-2001 and served as a member of the UASF Board of Directors. In 2001, Jolie became a Senior Executive Director of Human Resources over certificated operations until her retirement in 2010. After retirement Jolie served as a consultant in SFUSD until becoming a Co-Executive Director of UASF in 2019. In her spare time she plays tennis, works out, enjoys needlepointing, and her 4 legged companion, Charly Angel.

Ellen grew up in San Francisco and attended public schools from 1st to 12th grade. She raised two children who graduated from SFUSD. She was a parent volunteer and has served in the roles of PTA President and SSC Chair. Education is her second career. She started as a community relations specialist and became a CTE teacher, IRF, and assistant principal. Her career spanned 19 years and after 9 years as principal at Downtown High School, she retired in 2021. She has served on the UASF Executive Board for over four years as an elected high school representative

Jennie served in a variety of roles during her SFUSD career which spanned over 30 years. She worked for 16 years as a middle and high school English and ESL teacher, resource teacher, and department chair. This was followed by 8 years as a high school assistant principal and principal. She then served as a supervisor and director of the Educational Placement Center (EPC) for 8 years until she retired. Jennie returned to serve a the co-executive director of UASF from 2002 - 2014, and served as the president of UASF Emeritus from 2002 - 2020, and now serves as past president.

Cheryl worked for 37 years as an educator in SFUSD. She served 23 years as an elementary teacher, 12 years as an elementary principal and 2 years as an assistant superintendent. A few years into retirement, Cheryl returned to serve as a co-executive director of UASF for 4 ½ years. She now serves as the president of UASF Emeritus.

Robert D. (“Bo) Links
Legal Counsel
Robert D. (“Bo”) Links is of counsel to the firm of Slote, Links & Boreman, PC in San Francisco. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and earned his law degree from UCLA Law School. Bo has practiced law since 1974 presenting cases in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies such as the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB). Early in his career, Bo was instrumental in helping UASF become certified as the exclusive representative for supervisory employees in the SFUSD. He has represented us ever since. Bo has a wide variety of legal expertise and among his areas of emphasis are education law and labor law.
