Negotiations/Unions of SFUSD Meetings

3.1.21-Joan, Jolie, and Caroline attended the Unions of SFUSD weekly meeting where the RFI and Implementation letters were discussed.

3.2.21-UASF to SFUSD Request for Information (RFI)-Each of the Unions of SFUSD sent this RFI related to Health and Safety Standards. Caroline sent this on behalf of UASF: RFI Regarding Health and Safety 

3.2.21-Unions of SFUSD Implementation Letter-The Unions of SFUSD sent this letter to Greg John, Superintendent, BOE and the BOS Education Committee, regarding implementation of the Health and Safety Standards. https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/review

3.3.21- Unions of SFUSD jointly wrote and sent this press release: Press Release-Immediate Action and Implementation of the Health and Safety agreement

3.5.21-Wave 3 Return to Sites-UASF has requested a Meet and Confer with the District for next week regarding the date for Wave 3 site leaders to return to worksites. 

SFUSD has confirmed negotiation dates with UASF for March 12, March 26, April 9, and April 23, 2021.

Cohort Meetings

3.1.21-SPED UASF members met with Joan and liaison Ben Neumann to review the key standards of the Health and Safety MOU and shared their concerns and suggestions related to returning to in-person learning. The discussion was shared with Chief Robertson on 3.4.21.

3.3.21-Executive board members and Caroline attended the site leader meeting with Dr. Matthews and LEAD at which he shared a slide deck that was presented at the BOE COW, similar to the one listed below.

3.4.21-Middle School-UASF Directors Michael Essien and Michael Stachon and Joan met with middle school site administrators. They raised many questions regarding returning to work sites for Wave 3 and concerns regarding developing student schedules. The next day Joan spoke with Assistant Superintendent Phung to share the questions raised in the cohort meeting.

3.4.21-High Schools-UASF Directors Ellen Wong and Shari Balisi Manalang met with high school site leaders who posed many questions related to Wave 3 return to work sites. 

3.5.21-Wave 3 Site Leader Survey-UASF sent a survey to the Wave 3 site leaders to gather information to support them when they return to work on site to prepare for in-person learning.
