Negotiations and Unions of SFUSD
5.21.21-Your negotiation team met with the District negotiation team and came to an agreement on Article 9. We are very pleased that we got the District to continue to honor our 3 year contracts. We are still working on Article 7 & 12, which we hope to reach an agreement when we meet again on May 26, 2021.
Meeting with the Superintendent 5.19.21-Meeting with Dr. Matthews and his Leadership Team and The UASF Officers and EDs
Fall-Dr. Matthews reassured us that it is the intention of the BOE and the District to open for all students in-person in the fall. That being said, any changes due to new guidelines from DPH would be communicated to you as soon as the District hears. Tune in to the next BOE meeting this coming Tuesday as there will be additional information communicated. You can also refer to the Board Docs.
CO Return-As additional guidelines are released from DPH, the District will inform our CO members regarding who will return to work in-person in the fall.
UASF Participation on Committees-We again emphasized the request and need to include UASF representatives on committees that give input into decisions for the fall and beyond. These representatives are selected by the UASF President with input from the Officers.
We again stressed that our members are still receiving information after the fact and that they should be in the forefront of all notifications.
Cohort Meetings
5.20.21-High School Cohorts met with Joan, Ellen, Ron and Shari. The main concern raised was that there is a possibility that there will be a Distance Learning School for those students that do not want to return in person in the fall. This could potentially reduce enrollment and ultimately impact budgets at a sending site depending on how many students opt for the Distance Learning.

2021-22 Administrator Calendar see page 2 for the bargaining unit member’s and their Supervisor’s Signatures. Note CBA Article C.5.3: Each UASF member shall submit his/her individual service calendar to his/her supervisor within 30 days of the administrator’s report date.

AFSA Scholarship Due May 28
If you have a senior in high school getting ready for college, it's time for them to apply for the Diann Woodard AFSA Scholarship Program, which is open to children of AFSA members in good standing. Each year AFSA provides five outstanding students with a one-time, $2,500 award toward college tuition.
