UASF Updates #4 – 11.24.20

Negotiations

• UASF-SFUSD Evaluation Side Letter on Article 10 was approved by the UASF Board of Directors on November 20, 2020, and signed off on November 24, 2020.  Guidance for your evaluator will be sent by Labor Relations.

• Your UASF negotiation team had a caucus today and responded to SFUSD’s proposed side letter dated November 24, 2020, on Wave 1 Site Administrators’ Return to School Sites in Advance of Students Returning to In-Person Instruction.

• The next negotiations are scheduled for Wednesday, December 2, 2020, from 1:00-4:00 pm.

Meetings with District Leadership

• On November 24, 2020, UASF Treasurer, Patty Harmon, and Secretary, Silvia Cordero, along with Joan Hepperly and Jolie Wineroth met with Chris Armentrout and Myong Leigh regarding site leaders’ expectations related to the Renaming of Schools.  They have scheduled a follow-up meeting for November 30, 2020.

UASF Phone Conversations with Phase 1 Site Leaders

• Debra Eslava-Burton, Jolie Wineroth and Joan Hepperly conducted phone interviews with 13 of the 14 Phase 1 site leaders. The UASF Co-Eds asked specific questions regarding what the Wave 1 site leaders need related to health, safety and flexibility prior to their return to the worksite on December 7th. This information was incorporated in UASF’s response today to the District’s Side Letter Agreement proposal. Wave 2 UASF interviews are starting.
