UASF Updates #3 – 11.20.20
UASF Negotiations Update:
11.20.20-We want to update you on the return to site for administrators. The UASF and District Negotiation Teams met twice this week.The District is no longer planning for all site leaders to return to sites on November 30. We are continuing to negotiate next week regarding the working conditions for the Phase 2A-Wave 1 Site Leaders prior to their return date of December 7th.
11/25/20-We will be sending you a negotiations update by November 25th after our November 24th negotiation session.
11.17.20 and 11.19.20-Jolie Wineroth led the UASF Negotiation Team during negotiation sessions with the District.
11.13.20-Jolie Wineroth and Joan Hepperly met with SFUSD Labor Partners to discuss jointly made amendments to submit to the BOE at the 11.17.20 meeting. UASF gave input into the amendments proposed and signed on to the joint letter sent to the BOE.
Meetings with District Leadership
11.12.20 and 11.13.20-Dr. Matthews and Deputy Superintendent Ford Morthel began weekly forums to share information with site leaders and to hear their voices regarding the reopening of schools. UASF had prior discussions with Dr. Matthews and Deputy Ford Morthel regarding ways they might provide UASF members with the opportunity to hear from them directly and to receive member input. They had also been thinking about conducting a similar forum.
11.18.20-UASF Officers and EDs met with the Superintendent and his Leadership team. Deputy Leigh said here will be an updated communication about Re-naming Sites.
11.19.20-President Caroline Satoda met with Dr. Matthews.
11.19.20-UASF Co-EDs met with Deputy Superintendent Ford Morthel and Joya Balk.
1.19.20-Chief Academic Officer Dr. Priestly and Deputy Superintendent Ford Morthel met with C&I Directors and UASF C&I Supervisors.
Cohort Meetings
11.16.20-UASF Co-ED Joan Hepperly, with the support of UASF member Ben Neumann, met with UASF SPED Supervisors and Program Administrators. SPED members were provided with updates, UASF listened to their concerns and suggestions
