UASF Flash Update #13 – 2.7.21
Unions of SFUSD Reach Tentative Agreement (TA) on Health and Safety
Friday, February 5, 2021 started out with a robust press conference from the Unions of SFUSD. Our President, Caroline Satoda, gave impactful words to the press in support of our administrators and the hard work that they are doing. Beginning at 9:00 am Joan and Jolie, along with the Unions of SFUSD, met in a caucus and at 10:00 am began negotiating with the District over baseline health and safety standards. The negotiations ended at 10:45 pm without reaching an agreement.
Saturday, February 6, Joan and Jolie were back at the table at 9:00 am. The District met with us for 20 minutes then took a caucus. They resumed negotiations at noon and finally reached a tentative agreement at 11:123 pm! It was our 7th negotiation session but our 13th meeting as the Unions of SFUSD.
After the Ex. Bd. of Directors and our negotiating team have approved this TA, we will send you a copy. This TA will be attached to the UASF MOU which we will begin to negotiate for full approval by our UASF membership. Stay tuned, as now we can begin to negotiate with SFUSD regarding the UASF specific MOU items.
